ONLINE TESTS
The online tests were generated with software from
the iLrn website and are hosted there as well. There are two
types of on-line tests, preliminary tests and general tests.
Preliminary Tests
The preliminary tests are based on concepts from
high school mathematics courses. Some of these concepts include
vectors, system of linear equations and matrices. For each tutorial in the General
Mathematics Tutorial section of the website, there is a corresponding
preliminary test.

tests, visit the link below.

General Tests
The general tests are based on the content from
the MATH 1046/2046 courses. There is a test for each tutorial in the
Algebra Tutorials section of this website. Since the content of these
tests is based on knowledge required to pass the course, the marks will
be stored in your professor's database. This will aid the professor in
spotting class weaknesses allowing him/her to take the proper steps to
improve the understanding of those topics.
The grade of these tests will not affect the
student's mark in any way. These tests are meant as a way for students
to practice and prepare for the actual test in each section of the
course. Although students are not required to take these tests, it is
strongly recommended that these tests be completed.

ADVANCED TESTS
The advanced tests are based on the same material
as
the general tests, but the difficulty level is much higher. For this
reason, the marks will not be recorded in a database. Instead, the
test is electronically graded and the results are displayed on the
student's computer only. The results will also indicate which areas of
the tutorials that students may need to review. The purpose of these
tests is to further enhance
the student's knowledge and understanding of each subject area.
There is an advanced test for each tutorial in
the Algebra Tutorials section of this website. You can visit each
tutorial at the links below. However, it is recommended that you
complete the tutorial and pass the general for each topic before
attempting the advanced test.
